The Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris, France, released an "Urgent Notice Regarding E-Passport Appointments."
The notice addresses necessary procedures for Bangladeshi citizens residing in France whose passports are nearing expiration or have already expired.
The Bangladesh Embassy's Consular Branch in Paris issued the notice on 28 November 2025.
The Embassy specifically requests that individuals whose passports are due to expire within the next nine months or those who are currently holding an expired e-passport apply for one and secure an e-passport appointment.
To initiate the e-Passport application and appointment process, applicants are required to send their request and supporting documents via email to epassport.paris@mofa.gov.bd.
The application email must contain crucial personal data:
âĸ Applicantâs Name
âĸ Date of Birth
âĸ E-mail
âĸ Passport Number
âĸ Passport Expiration Date
In addition to this required information, applicants must attach specific documents to their email. These essential attachments are a passport photocopy, a registration form with a bar code, and a Summary of Registration (with a bar code).
The official notice underscores a strict prerequisite, stating that e-Passport application acceptance and the granting of appointments will not be processed without providing the rules and information specified above.
In reference to other passport services, the Embassy clarified the schedule for MRP (Machine Readable Passport)-related applications. Applications concerning MRP passport issuance and re-issuance will only be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays, excluding government holidays.
